As part of our social duty to give back to society the International Maestro Centre this 24th May 2014 from 2.30p.m. to 3.30p.m will be visiting the Good Samaritan Children’s Home – in Mathare. The orphanage has a total population of 297 children ranging from the age of 3 weeks old (the youngest as per now) up to age 25 .Out of these , 105 are in high school , and as per now, all the high school population are in schools and they board. As part of the International Maestro Centre Family, we would like to extend this invitation to you and your family to accompany us on this visit.
It will be a great opportunity for us – to spend an hour with the children in this home – donate a few items whether cash, food, books or clothing.
The IMC management will be organizing for transport from the Goodrich Kindergarten to the Home and back. The duration of the visit will be between 1.30pm – 2.00p.m at the centre. All our staff and students will be required to come with Kshs. 500.00 which will be used to pay for transport, snacks and donations for that day.
The rest are at home.In this regard therefore, our urgent needs are in terms of consumables ,and they are:
- dry cereals,i.e maize, beans, rice and green grams.
- cooking oil or fat.
- sugar & tea leaves
- maize & wheat flour.
- formula milk,
- diapers,& tissue paper, sanitary pads.
- shoe polish, toothpaste,and petroleum jelly
- Exercise books, and pens.
In the past ,we are lucky to have received enough donations in terms of clothing,and we really appreciate the donors.
